Bridges to God, Lincoln, lies and Nowhere. Needs to be Challenged
Edited on Wed Sep-17-08 10:24 PM by 20score
Many articles have been written about the lies of Sarah Palin; and there is no dearth of information for this subject. The Bridge to Nowhere lie has been covered, debunked, re-lied about and debunked again. She has lied about earmarks, going to Iraq, Trooper-Gate and Obama’s record. But the lie that seems to have gotten the least coverage, but is somehow the sleaziest, is the lie Palin told when she said her comment about God and Iraq, was just like Lincoln’s comment about God and the Civil War.

What is distasteful about this particular lie is not just the proximity of character that Palin puts herself in with Lincoln – and that is odious enough – but that Palin’s quote was exactly the type of hubris that Lincoln was rebuking. Palin said, “our national leaders are sending them out on a task that is from God.” What Lincoln said had the opposite meaning. “Sir, my concern is not whether God is on our side; my greatest concern is to be on God's side, for God is always right” It bothered me then, and still does now, as no one has seemed to challenge her on this point.

3. That bothered me, too. MSM made it out like she was somehow
sounding like Lincoln. I wonder, is Palin somehow off limits?
No, I know MSM better than that. She will continue to be touted as the best chance for women, as the women's candidate. As a woman and a citizen of the USA, I disagree
