Calm Down, Chicken Littles. The More The Media Shows Palin/McSame, The Better It Is For Obama/Biden |
|
Seriously.
The best thing the media can do for Obama is to give undue and unequaled airtime to McSame/Palin. These two are empty suits who offer nothing of substance. The effect of seeing them on the TV 24/7 has the effect of watching nothing but bad commercials and never getting to the program.
The "sarcasm is fun" ship has sailed. The "I'd name a commission to solve it" train has derailed. McSame has no solutions. He is being done in by events on the ground! The best he can do is to adopt Obama's positions and tag lines, which only reinforces Obama's status as the agent of change. Obama is proactive. McCain is reactive. Reaction doesn't get the job done when the walls are crashing down.
The American people are done with play time and are looking to the adults for guidance. Obama and Biden happen to be those adults.
So, un-lax, people. There are worse things than watching as the emperor and empress march around in their birthday suits.

1. But... there is the saying that even bad publicity is still |
|
good publicity. The more they are out there the more chances of making mistakes, but also the more people may feel the need to defend them or excuse them. Obama and Biden need to be on the airwaves, their words and approach are such a stark contrast and it needs to be available so that the least savvy among us can pick up on it.

I figure to more we see McPooppants and Faliure, the more we get a chance of them fucking up... and the more it gets recorded.
They can't help fucking up, they're incompetent!

3. I keep trying to tell people that |
|
the more exposure Palin, especially, gets, the more low information voters will be reminded of unpleasant female relatives. Like it or not, the policy stuff never gets through to them. That screeching will.
They're also going to notice what a tired and befuddled old man Magoo has become lately.
So yes, the more exposure for them, the better for Obama and Biden.

4. Every time she pisses in the public restroom, the media is there. Meanwhile, WTF is Biden? |

6. AND, she can't really stand up to 24/7 coverage. That's a plus for us. |
|
Two weeks out from her grand entrance on the national stage and she's already a MAJOR liability for McCain.
What could be better? I say, show her 24/7. The few minutes they give to Biden will be like a breath of fresh air.
Besides, we'll be hearing plenty about Obama and Biden over the next 8 years. Palin will be relegated to the occasional update on how her appeals are going in the Alaska courts. And McCain will be doing Depends commercials.
Outside of Tina Fey, I can't think of anybody who is going to miss Sara Palin once she exits the national stage.
