1. That picture

Says so much. The comfort and joy of the child in his arms. The peace and strength etched on his face. A baby hugging politician taking a moment to take in the pure loving joy of actually holding that child. That image says a lot of good stuff about the man.

I was a little older, not much, and was awed by another politically historic black man...

Carl Stokes was campaigning for mayor of Cleveland and my aunt took me to an Italian summer festival and he was walking through the crowd, shaking peoples hands, campaigning in an area of town that, well let's just say wasn't all that friendly to African Americans. I shook his hand and he bent over to speak to me, said hey little man, I hope I can count on you...

I was hooked...

6. That's probably how that little boy feels!

Can you imagine what his parents told him?

"Son, we're going to see a man who is running for president."

The kid probably doesn't know too much about history or really get the gravity of the situation, all he knows is someone who looks like him is running for president.

I cannot even imagine what it must mean to him, and he got to hug him, too!

And that's a terrible insult to McCain who is void of that emotion so that's a terrible thing because McCain was a POW!
