1. If their money for retirement is invested in the market and they are near
retirement, YES... If they are younger, like me, you don't really because you can't afford to borrow any money and your job doesn't even offer a 401K.

job loss, pay cuts, lost dividends in retirement accounts . . .

5. Those with retirement plans and those
that are retired on fixed income instruments or investments. There are still many who don't because they don't understand it and figure it won't affect them.

6. i do, i don't have much in the way of stocks but the ones i own have been all over
the place for the past 2 weeks. I swear i'm not even looking tomorrow.

11. i'm still not looking and i'm worried about the money market account we have.
i have a kid to put through college in 5 years and as we know college funds are getting harder to aquire.

12. I've lost > 30% of my net worth already
...and we haven't even seen a crash yet.

So, I do care about the fact that the kids college fund has been cut in half, yes.
