Man pelted by snowball sues alleged thrower

When I saw this headline, I thought, what are we going to sue people over next? Then I saw the snowball was thrown by some Hummer driving dipshit, and I thought differently. A snowball thrown from a moving vehicle can seriously injure someone. I've been pelted that way in the past, and I remember it hurt. That Hummoran probably thought bullying was great fun in years past.

A man who claims he was pelted in the head by a snowball during January's snowstorm wants the guy who allegedly threw it to pay -- $4,350 plus attorney's fees.

In the suit filed in Multnomah County Circuit Court Friday, William Elich is suing Greg Scott Ely for allegedly rocketing a snowball from the rented Hummer he was driving as he passed Elich on Jan. 16.

Elich says he was about to enter Jake's Grill near Southwest 10th Avenue and Alder Street for an early lunch when Ely came by in the Hummer with a "dashboard lined with snowballs." The snowball that hit Elich broke the left lens of his glasses and bruised his eyeball, he says. <snip>

1. Anything that hits hard enough to break your glasses qualifies as assult
What a stupid, childish thing for the driver to do.

:dunce:

7. His injuries qualify him for compensation.
I don't care who threw it or from what. He got hurt by someone's actions, he deserves compensation and if the person who hurt him won't pay responsibly, he needs to pay for legal costs also. Responsibility.
