Did anyone else just catch Bush's "statement" on tv?
"It's hard work"

"It's a big proposal"

"We gotta big problem"

"We gotta move quickly"

"There is no disagreement that something substantial must be done"

"We are going to get a package passed"

"We will rise to the occasion"

"Thank you very much."

3. as a child, ever play at a beach, building a castle of sand?
then watch in dismay as the tide rises, erasing all your work?

The only difference is that Bush inherited a growing, vibrant castle, set out to open the flood gates, and insured that the tide overwhelmed all the castle's defenses.

4. Yes, "We gotta move quickly". Sounds familiar, that one.
"Don't ask questions, just do as we tell you to do. We know what's best for you." Bush desperately does not want this generation to think of him the way others do when they hear "Hoover". Like everything, he prefers to leave the next president to deal with the mess he has made of things.

8. did you notice he mis spoke and almost said...
spectacular instead of substantial?

I think he meant to say -
"There is no disagreement that something spectacular must be done"
