2. I was so proud of my display last year |
|
(I worked in a public library) I created little "Wanted" signs for each book in the display, detailing why they were banned.

The display area was the one place I could use any creativity (the rest of the job was fairly soul-deadening stuff), so I really got into it.

I am promoting Banned Books Week in a big way this year at my high school. I have a few separate displays with a posters that read "Be Controversial: read a banned book," "Book that shock, books that rock," "YOU HAVE THE RIGHT....TO READ." If I were not in a school library, and could more openly express my political views, you can bet there would be a Palin-inspired poster or two up!
