I was born and raised in Connecticut. So was my wife. So were all our siblings |

I know no native of that state who sounds like Joe Lieberman, with that whiney shit and drawing out certain words or syllables.

I lived in CT from 1959 to 1968. There really is no CT accent.

3. I'm from Fairfield County .... my 'accent' is kinda/sorta NewYawk |
|
Sparkly's from the New London area. She has no real accent but a New England accent is quite common there. We were to her nnth (<--Stinky not stoopit) HS reunion a few years back. Having been away for many years, we were *amazed* at the thickness of some people's New England accents.

How can you even listen to him? |
|
His voice is like the sound of a tomb being opened in a really cheesy horror flick. I have to mute him or change the channel.

2. I have often wondered about that. |

Joe doesn't sound like Redstone, that's for sure.

4. Well, Joe is from Stamford, closer really to New York. |
|
So I would say his accent is more New York than anything. However, it is not the New York accent that I have always loved (lived in NYC for 6 years, worked there for 4). It certainly isn't the New Haven accent, which really doesn't actually exist since New Haven is such a diverse mixture, given the presence of Yale.
