Oddity - Mad Money's Jim Cramer Ripping On Republicans For Opposing Bailout
I happened to be flipping channels, and I don't typically follow Mad Money, though Cramer certainly knows his stuff even if he is a blowhard. Well, in this segment, he is just irate at the GOP's efforts to blow up the deal and grandstand. He reserves most of his ire for Richard Shelby. It is kind of odd to see the CNBC types irate with Republicans:

1. I Think Cramer Is Moderate
Edited on Sat Sep-27-08 07:58 PM by iamjoy
I don't watch him regularly, but my husband does. So, I occasionally watch him and other times my husband fills me in (especially when Cramer gets political). Cramer is big on natural gas, wind and solar - but he can't stand ethanol. He's criticized Democrats for stonewalling on offshore drilling.

Cramer is unabashed at saying it's about making money, but he also tells people not to "fear the tax man." His attitude is make as much money as you can and if you have to pay taxes, well, so what. That's not a reason to avoid investing or playing the market. He advocates individual prudence and responsibility - not schemes. He says to spend an hour a week researching each stock you own and to listen to the quarterly conference calls.

Months ago he had WaMu (and I believe AIG) CEOs on his "wall of shame"

he doesn't advocate for one candidate or another. He says if Obama wins, expect alternative energy stocks to do well. If McCain wins, expect defense and oil companies to do well.

He may get political, but I don't think he's partisan.

added on edit:
checking his financial contributions, he's 100% Dem

4. This deal helps Wall Street firms stay in business so I can't imagine Cramer being against it.
I have enjoyed Cramer. However, he is not always right about stocks.
