7. Ha ha ha...
...reminds me of that story about Richard Feynman at a lecture, where a woman insisted that there was a giant turtle holding up the earth. When Feynman asked her what was holding up *that* turtle, she replied, "You don't fool me, Mr. Feynman! It's turtles, all the way down!"

Well it's probably apochryphal (let's hope), but still funny as hell, and it's about the kind of thinking that is holding up our financial structures right about now.

3. I think we need to bring back the Bank of the United States
and can the "Federal Reserve" system. Put banking directly under control of the government and let private banks come to the BOUS for loans, where they'll have to prove their solvency.

4. Yup...
So how long til my checks are no good, I have to change my PW and my card is no good? And BTW, I don't like Citigroup cause it's run by a rich Saudi prince: Prince Alwaleed bin Talal bin Abdul Aziz al Saud.

5. I got stuck with Wachovia when they took over World Bank
a year or so ago. x( In the past week I've been moving my money out and into a local neighborhood bank, unfortunately I have a couple of CDs that don't mature for a couple of years. I have to decide whether to leave them or move than and take a penalty. :yoiks:
