You gotta stay up late for the good stuff!

I took my old Leica M3 to an Obama fundraiser in Moscow, Idaho. Yup, Idaho and no one got shot or beat up. Moscow is one cool city if you're ever in the area, hippies everywhere, granola on every corner. While at the fundraiser the Moscow Peace band showed up:

Down on main street they protest the war every Friday. The numbers here are not what's important, the important thing is they have been doing it since the war started. They don't quit:

If you see any hair and dust sorry, you ever have a darkroom and dogs?

1. Cool pics, and cool to hear. You'll still never see me in Idaho...
unless I'm on my way to somewhere that *isn't* Idaho.

2. hahahahaha
I sort of know what you mean. I've been to so many places in Idaho that I wasn't sure I was going to get out alive. I flyfish and ost of the shops sell guns and stuff. You wouldn't believe the anti-Obama stuff in these shops. I'm at the point I have to get everything online because my boycott list pretty much included all the shops.

3. Are there counter-protests?
In Everett, WA every Friday we have Peace protesters on one corner and Warmongers on the other. It ties my stomach in a knot when I pass through because of the Warmongers. And just knowing how our Government has so neatly and evenly divided us and played us against each other.

Divided we fall, and in this case WE is WE THE PEOPLE.

9. None in Moscow
They try to get people to honk for support and I have to tell you, there's a lot of honking going on.

Is there anything in the world cooler than a Leica? No, there is not.

Fine shots.

19. I was thinking about you yesterday. Dropped my Tokina 12-24mm on a sidewalk.
Wrecked a pricey circular polarizer, but the lens is fine. You still getting a lot of use out of yours?

25. ack!!
I would hate to drop mine. I think I use it more than any other lens for non-sports. It's funny about the polarizer, mine busted the other day in Vegas. For no reason the front glass just popped out.

28. Ouch. You know, I've never understood filter pricing
but I think it has something to do with a captive market. Who would have thought our wonderful free market would ever let us down?:eyes:

I am impressed that they've been protesting since the invasion started.

Great pictures, good on the protesters.

I think as the afternoon wears on it turns out to be bigger. That little square is the place where everyone hangs out in the evening. It is safe but about a year and half ago they had a sniper shoot up the police station just a couple of blocks away.
