Check in here if you called your Congressperson, Senators, or Obama |
|
I have called John Olver, MA, & John Kerry MA
Plus, I have written the Obama campaign.
I am trying to get them to scrap this atrocity, buy more time, and develop a plan that will help the American people.

and Sen. Cornyn. Also e-mailed Pelosi. Signed Bernie Sanders petition for a different plan. They are not listening.

Representative Braley and Senators Harkin and Grassley. Now here's a kind of weird thing. Grassley's spokesman agreed with me while Harkin's spokeswoman said she wasn't sure and Braley's guy said he needed to consider everything. Sounds like ol' Chuck is actually looking out for Iowans, which is what he is elected to do. And he is not up for re-election and even if he was, there is about a one pct. chance he'd lose.

when the bail-out was first proposed. Since then, I've realized that I have no idea whether this is a good or bad idea. Unfortunately I am too ignorant to advocate anything.

I just don't understand how anyone could support this Corporate Christmas that's going to go to the people who fucked it all up in the first place. I find it bizarre that I am siding with a bunch of truly conservative Republicans on this one.
Politics does, indeed, make strange bedfellows.
This thing, if it's passed, is going to be a HUGH mistake, one that will haunt our country, if it still exists in its representative democratic form, for centuries. With this cash infusion to the troubled entities, we're doing nothing but postponing the inevitable, and making everything worse.
Don't people understand that if President Fuckface wants it, it's bad? He's never gotten anything right - why would he start now?

Told him that bankrupting our children so we keep a few financial institutions from going bankrupt isn't right. That the bailout is just a way for corporate fat cats to not be held responsible for their bad decisions and that the money is better spent in other ways and that the bailout will lower the value of the dollar and hurt the middle class.
