30. What is the first rule for investing in the stock market? |
|
Never put anything in it that you can not afford to lose.
You really can not blame anyone else but yourself.
I have money in the market too, and I am getting close to retirement. But I think this bailout package still stinks. I don't want this bailout to pass. Congress can do better.
If I have to take some losses, so be it. I don't think this is an honest piece of legislation with enough protections for taxpayers in the coming generations who will be saddled with this. I don't mind being selfless for the greater good.

Businessmen, they drink my wine, plowmen dig my earth, None of them along the line know what any of it is worth."
"No reason to get excited," the thief, he kindly spoke, "There are many here among us who feel that life is but a joke. But you and I, we've been through that, and this is not our fate, So let us not talk falsely now, the hour is getting late."
All along the watchtower, princes kept the view While all the women came and went, barefoot servants, too.
Outside in the distance a wildcat did growl, Two riders were approaching, the wind began to howl.

I don't believe that at all. I think the financial oligarchs want one last bite at the apple before Dumbya is gone and Pelosi and Co. are too goddamned scared to keep them in check.

So you will continue to not have health insurance. But keep dancing on the graves and hoping that this will only affect Wall Street millionaires, and not you.

You can of course, provide us with names and addresses rather than the simplistic generalities such as "the fat cats", or "them", yes?

17. If there is ONLY a severe recession |
|
out of this... there won't be any money to do any health care program. BTW, just so you know, I have multiple birth defects in my heart, had one corrective surgery (which only temporarily fixed one problem). Insurance paid for that operation (I paid almost $2,000 of the cost myself) total cost was $30K. That was 12 years ago. One month after the surgery, my insurance company dropped me. I haven't had any insurance since then. Private insurance (Blue Cross) has quoted me $1200/month with a $10,000 deductible.
He or she isn't the only one with health insurance issues.
