What Pelosi said that pissed off the Repugs votes.
"Pelosi had said that Congress needed to pass the bill, even though it was an outgrowth of the "failed Bush economic policies" of the last eight years.

"When was the last time someone asked you for $700 billion?" she asked. "It is a number that is staggering, but tells us only the costs of the Bush administration's failed economic policies — policies built on budgetary recklessness, on an anything goes mentality, with no regulation, no supervision, and no discipline in the system."

Pelosi forced Republicans into the position of agreeing her assessment of President Bush if they voted for the bailout and a bunch of them said "no way". If there's a failure of the financial system now, I think you can place the blame firmly on the padded shoulders of Nancy Pelosi."

I hope to heck when Obama wins....he gets rid of Nancy Peloci.

SHE STARTED ATTACKING THE REPUBLICANS. They can't believe she did that. She should have gloated and ragged on the Repukes after the vote.

12. Thank you. Pelosi spoke the truth, If the Repubs can't
handle that, so be it. It makes them look like children, to vote against a bill because their feelings are hurt.

13. "An anything goes mentality, with no regulation, no supervision, and no discipline in the system."
Madame Speaker, where was Congress in all this? You know, the body of the federal government with a CONSTITUTIONAL MANDATE to legislate regulation, provide supervision and enforce discipline?

17. No, the blame goes to the criminals who devised/used unregulated derivatives, credit default swaps,
and all other financial instruments that were completely and utterly without common sense and based purely in greed.

19. Maybe deep down, Pelosi still has a soul....
that feels guilt for being such a corporate tool and Republican enabler.

Maybe that tiny voice of guilt made her subconsciously sabotage this bill.

Maybe Nancy-Gollum, there may be hope for you yet no matter how the dark lord and the fires of Mordor have twisted your humanity...

Plenty to go around, but acting childishly as our nation's economy is failing is not good policy.

26. A question for a Republican to ask.
The Republicans started and promoted this madness in 1999 by removing regulation & when the derivative mess started in 2003 they were 100% in control for the next 3 years. I'm not blaming Dems, you can if you love attacking Dems when they are in a big fight. Go for it :(

23. Hell of a time to be attacking Bush
Not that he doesn't deserve it, but where the Hell was she during wiretapping, "the surge", offshore drilling, etc, etc.

Now that some bipartisan cooperation is needed, she goes into attack mode?

She is more than useless. She's DANGEROUS.
