For those dissing Pelosi
You're full of shit. She spoke the absolute fucking truth and you're going to get mad at her instead of the crybaby Republicans who propped up every Bush policy from day one?

You would blame her for not having the balls to call out the bullshit or you would blame her for losing the deal because of Republic assholes.

Grow the fuck up. Your demanding her resignation is less than helpful and says more about you than Pelosi.

"When was the last time someone asked you for $700 billion?" she asked. "It is a number that is staggering, but tells us only the costs of the Bush administration's failed economic policies — policies built on budgetary recklessness, on an anything goes mentality, with no regulation, no supervision, and no discipline in the system."

6. The bill would NOT save our economy.
I have NO idea why we have suddenly started believing BushCo when they have never spoken a word of truth in 8 years.

Hundreds of Economists Urge Congress Not to Rush on Rescue Plan

By Matthew Benjamin

Sept. 25 (Bloomberg) -- More than 150 prominent U.S. economists, including three Nobel Prize winners, urged Congress to hold off on passing a $700 billion financial market rescue plan until it can be studied more closely.

In a letter yesterday to congressional leaders, 166 academic economists said they oppose Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson's plan because it's a ``subsidy'' for business, it's ambiguous and it may have adverse market consequences in the long term. They also expressed alarm at the haste of lawmakers and the Bush administration to pass legislation.

``It doesn't seem to me that a lot decisions that we're going to have to live with for a long time have to be made by Friday,'' said Robert Lucas, a University of Chicago economist and 1995 Nobel Prize winner who signed the letter. ``The situation may get urgent, but it's not urgent right now. Right now it's a financial sector problem.''

The economists who signed the letter represent various disciplines, including macroeconomics, microeconomics, behavioral and information economics, and game theory. They also span the political spectrum, from liberal to conservative to libertarian.

13. Pelosi and company are supposed to be writing the laws and distributing the cash.
Edited on Mon Sep-29-08 02:11 PM by BuyingThyme
But, to the great disappointment of people who understand how this country is supposed to work, Pelosi only does whatever the Chimp tells her to do.

That's all she's done since becoming Speaker.

Democrats should be in a position to take huge majorities in Congress.

But instead, Democrats are looking at a very poor showing, relatively speaking, and Team Obama is on the ropes.

Blame Pelosi.

16. Yeah, I heard she's responsible for global warming too.
:eyes:

Read the whole text of her speech and tell me the Republicans have a right to be crying.

It's a Republican political ploy. I'm sure once you realize this, you'll blame that on her too.

17. I blame her for falling into this trap.
This bailout was not going to fix shit.

By getting on board and then losing, she helps makes the inevitable financial meltdown seem a bi-partisan failure when it shouldn't have been.

Fuck Pelosi. And she did not speak "the absolute fucking truth." Not even close. I don't she's ever had any idea what that even means.

26. Ms. Pelosi -
"When was the last time someone asked you for $700 billion?" she asked. "It is a number that is staggering, but tells us only the costs of the Bush administration's failed economic policies — policies built on budgetary recklessness, on an anything goes mentality, with no regulation, no supervision, and no discipline in the system."

And your solution is to GIVE THEM SEVEN HUNDRED BILLION DOLLARS?

Heckuva job, Nancy.

27. I think you're projecting your own "shit." And, in a shitty way.
Perhaps, just perhaps, you are full of shit and not the people you say are full of shit would be full of shit.

And, then somehow we are NOT MAD at Republicans because we do not like what Pelosi is doing and, for that matter, has been doing. I for one, am mad at Republicans AND Pelosi.

It was shitty of you to indicate differently. And, the rest of your verbiage interspersed with references to more fecal matter and bad sex is just as shitty.
