NATIONAL GURANTEE YOUR VOTE DAY

Little do they know, but tens of thousands of people may found out when it is too late to do anything about it, that they have been purged from the voting rolls. Just recently:

---In New Jersey, 300,000 people who thought that they were registered to vote either have had their name purged or they wer never entered onto the rolls in the first place.

---In Wisconsin, the Republican Attorney has sued the stae elections board to remove 20% of the voting popultion from the rolls.

---In Virginia, the AFL-CIO has reported that students were being deliberately misled as to where to register to vote.

---In Michigan, Republican county auditors were stating that those who have had their homes eneterd into foreclosure would be stripped from the voting rolls.

---In Ohio, I n 2006, 300,000 people were purged in three major urban ares and this year another 600,000 were threatened.

Let this election be decided by the people and niot by machines, dirty tricks or voter witch hunts.

In light of this The MICAH Project and America in Solidarity is issuing a call to action to declare October 1st as NATIONAL GUARANTEE YOUR VOTE DAY. All individuals, organizations, blogs, unions, groups and churches that take part commit to either emailing, texting or phoning their readers and supporters with a message urging them to check on the status of ther voter registration. It also encourages them to ask their supporters to spread the word to their networks.

What can you do? Endorse the project, write a letter to editor, check your vote and on October 1st...get on the net and ask everybody to check!
