8. We can't spend 6 years seperateing Bush from
any kind of political authority and from his base and then expect him to deliver votes on something many in his party are philosophically opposed to.

I actually blame Pelosi, not for her speech before the vote but for the political plan she has put in place and executed over the last 4 years has emasculated the Republicans to the point that they do not have any leadership that can force the rank-and-file to vote a certain way. It's been a marvelous plan for getting more Dems in the House and Senate and for laying the groundwork for a Democratic year up and down the ticket but it has come with the price of Republicans adopting an "Every man for himself" mentality.

That and she caves on every important issue as part of that larger political strategy.

Yes, I do have my flame suit on so feel free to flame away.
