Stop calling it "bailout." It's the plunder plan and will do nothing to solve the crisis. |
|
I'm sorry for those of you who have fallen for the propaganda that a final plundering of whatever can still be squeezed out of the taxpayers can forestall the inevitable meltdown of the dollar, insolvency of the US government and financial sector, and likely great depression.
The "bailout" is a plunder plan to trade dollars (while they still have some value) against trash, so that the recipients can disappear the cash. Fully in the tradition of Bush regime and Bush family plunder operations.
The crisis is the logical outcome of thirty years of policies and developments, and especially the intentional easy credit, housing bubble and ridiculous debt-as-asset trading of the last eight years. It cannot be solved. There is no way to prevent the crash of the financial system. I do not enjoy this. I am not celebrating. It's time for all to plan for what will be built in place of the failed system, not to imagine that a mere $700 bills will change anything.

2. The only thing that will solve this "crisis" is good paying jobs. |
|
So, this "crisis" isn't going to get solved any time soon.

4. As Michael Moore put it.... |

"Bush and his cronies -- who must soon vacate the White House -- are looting the U.S. Treasury of every dollar they can grab. They are swiping as much of the silverware as they can on their way out the door."

Witness the otherwise intelligent people here on DU being swept up by the hysteria.

6. Evidentally Lehman Brothers could not find $300 - $400 Billion dollars in cash |

before they went belly up. Now the regulators can't find any paperwork or documentation.
I think we will find more of the same if the books are ever examined of some of these financial institutions which are trying to shake us down.
