Are we in a coup, or just wishing/hoping/praying for one?

I know, get with the program! So let me know what I missed, or have to consider. ;)

3. I have mixed feelings about the bailout failing.

I don't think we should be propping up the very companies who are responsible, but I don't want our economy to go into an unrecoverable tailspin either.

This editorial cartoon sums up my feelings exactly:

(when you get to the home page, search for the 9/26/08 image...sorry I thought the link would take you there...but it goes to the home page.)

We're rushing into another debacle...that's my fear. Let's take time to hold hearings and get this right. The Bush Administration knows how to build fear to get results...are we going to fall for this same tactic one more time before he leaves office?

4. Micheal Moore makes great provocative movies- and his books are fun
but as to complicated situations such as this, I hope we all remember that he's- well, Micheal Moore.

6. The rich have always controlled the country
The American Revolution happened because taxation hit the wealthy merchants the most. They agitated against it, and the resulting repression angered all of the colonies enough to revolt.

America and in fact every country except Communist ones are ruled disproportionately by the rich. And in Communist countries those with political power take everything.

Life isn't fair.

7. It's a slow-motion coup that's been going on for 30 years ... in its final phases.
You didn't notice? How lucky for you. :eyes:

9. The coup is over. The Fed printed and circulated $630 Billion Dollars yesterday.
The Congress is irrelevant.
