Remember when we used to make fun of the Canadian dollar? |
|
Today:
$1 US = $1.04 Canadian
Those hosers are laughing at us now.
I remember when going to Canada was a nice inexpensive trip because the currency rate was so much in our favor.
That was only 5 or 6 years ago.
Sigh.

buy a lot of products in the US now. I was two times in new York this year and becuase of the low dollar i bought a lot of products. a lot of things are much cheaper in the US than in germany.
The parents of my wife think about buying a house in Florida or a different region becuase friends of them bought a house some month ago and it was unbelivable cheap because of the housing crises and the low dollar. When they reitre they could spent the winter months in a warmer US region and the rest of the year here in germany.
For a european it is (or perhabs was becuase the dollar gained a little bit) a great time buying things in the US.
