The issue on the table is meant to sway an election. Obama is in a tight race. The Republicans however are looking at a landslide against in the congress.Now is the time to wait.

2. Obama Has Been Very Smart
about when to take the spotlight. How many times during the primary or general have people been saying "Where's Barack? He needs to get out there NOW and say THIS!"

And somehow, he's on the verge of a double-digit lead. He knows to let his enemies defeat themselves.
