No Bailout for those that caused this! No Way! Now How!
The bailout (as currently structured) is a disaster waiting to happen and congress was correct to kill it yesterday. The bailout is being pushed by the same people that brought us the original problem. These are the same people that told us the economy is strong. These are the same people that said there's no recession. These are the same people saying that the fundamentals are strong one week and screaming that depression is upon us the next.

I've had it with all the hysteria around the economy. We all know who brought this upon us.

1. Bush and the republicans by pushing deregulation, dropping interest rates too low for too long to artificially inflate the economy, and for their head-in-the-sand approach until it was too late.
2. Banks, mortgage lenders, and others who pushed loans to anyone breathing and some that weren't.
3. Speculators who are trying to make as much money as possible as quickly as possible.
4. Greedy mother f****kers all over the world.

Now look at who wants to bring this "Wall Street Bailout®" to us. It's the same exact people listed above. They want to save their political or financial fortunes on the backs of 300 million Americans (including the not-yet-born for the next 20+ years). Look who's getting the money. It's not consumers, workers, small businesses, or those who are victims of the schemes that caused this. The beneficiaries are the criminals that put us in this position. They have privatized the profits and socialized the losses. They are "too big to fail." We are "too small to matter." As Bernie Sanders said: "If they are too big to fail, they are too big to exist."

And now the time of reckoning has arrived. Now as Bush’s parting gift to America, he wants to leave me and my kid (and the next president) with a $700 billion giveaway on top of the economic destruction in progress? I have an answer for him. NO BAILOUT FOR THOSE THAT CAUSED THIS! NO WAY! NO HOW!

Bush’s time is just about run out. My generation will (hopefully) take the nation "as is" in January, and that doesn't include a $700 billion giveaway. We'll suffer for some period of time. It will suck. It will hurt many of our countrymen. But I prefer to suffer now than to pass on Bush’s disaster to my kid. I look at her and I know that she has no idea what he’s got lined up for her. I will not sit by while he gives away her future as he has attempted to give away mine.

It's time for the people that put us in this position to sit down and shut the fuck up. Your turn at running this country is over and you have failed miserably. A new generation of leadership is waiting in the wings. Barack Obama and the next congress will take it from here. Like Obama says: "change won't be easy", but it is necessary. And to that I say, Bring it on!

1. The bailout is for you.... you just don't get it yet.

But you will.

When you can't borrow for ANYTHING.

When your credit lines are closed.

When your employer can't meet payroll.

5. Credit lines closed? I can't wait.
That's exactly what this country needs - cash on the barrelhead.

When an employer (or an individual) is actually creditworthy, they'll get it. What a novel idea.

6. But isn't there a way to punish those
who did it while saving the credit market? Not everyone was in on the questionable kinds of loans.

9. You do realize that those bastards are changing credit limits so people have to now have PERFECT
credit. That means not ONE late payment or problem for YEARS AND YEARS.

How many people in this country have perfect credit these days?

Answer: NOT VERY MANY.

11. And "those bastards" who tighten unreasonably will also be unprofitable.
It's a self-correcting problem.

13. The "Bailout" is NOT for me.
I went strictly Cash Only years ago when the Watchdogs & Whistle Blowers started sounding the alarms.

This crisis was not only inevitable, it is a design feature.

Many people were blinded by the &Dollar Signs$ in their eyes when their houses doubled in "paper value" in just a few years without any value added improvements.....scared the hell out of me.

4. How about a bill for those who didn't cause it, but will be destroyed by it?
Is that OK?

12. I'm with you all the way
because of a medical bankruptcy issue (wasn't able to bankrupt all of it) I have had no credit for most of my life...I learned to live with it...and now because I have no credit hanging over my, I am able to rest better at night.
