Are the two drivers of financial decisions. Greed gave birth to this crisis. Fear continues to fuel it.
You can't blame the CEO's for being greedy without also blaming at least some of the borrowers for excess consumption. A lot of these bad mortgage loans were not to consumers who were living on the brink - they were to consumers seeking a more luxurious lifestyle.
