Talk about stupid ass marketing ........ |
|
..... "Wall Street Bailout Bill"????
This thread is NOT about the merits of the bill or any succeeding bill or even the concept of the rightness or wrongness of the bailout.
It is about the sheer stupidity of the marketing of it.
Where did the term "Wall Street Bailout Bill" come from??????
What tin ear dumbfuck(s) thought Joe and Jane Citizen would line up behind a "Wall Street Bailout Bill"? Why not just call it the "Millionaires' Coddling Bill"? Or maybe a real simple one .... the "Fuck You America Act of 2008"?
How 'bout instead ..... I dunno ...... "Economic Expansion Act of 2008"? Something that is .... you know ..... **positive**.
Are the people who brought you "IraqWar - Millenium™" no longer working at the White House?
Or was it the flat footed Dems who named this?
The biggest single law and cash outlay in the entire history of the world and they call it the "Wall Street Bailout Bill".
We are well and truly fucked ......
