Letterman stays on message, and it ain't pretty....he's after McCain but also Bush
Dave had a segment on "how did he do"? running clips of **GWB campaign rhetoric, clips from his speeches and promises he made.

The clips show how time has taken its toll on Bush, and now that we know him better, it is obvious he himself knew he was selling snake oil.

For each promise a loud ugly noise indicated a broken promise. Every one of the statements warranted the noise.

Can't wait for the U-tube segment. Wish I could find it and post it.

Good on Dave !
He has had his fill of the Doofus along with us.

7. Do you live in the US ?
'Punk'd' was a TV show on MTV that involved a hidden camera, someone famous, a funny deception, and a set up with a friend of the famous person ....

Hilarity ensues ... (not really)

So being Punked is to be set up and played for a fool ....

4. I was helping my aunt on the commode and missed the McCain part.
What was he saying about Twix bars and Canadian quarters? I didn't get to hear it.

11. She was taking a bath.
Is that still too much information? She is disabled and cannot get in and out of the bathtub, so she takes her bath with the faucet next to the commode. It works out nicely for her that way.

12. I really like Dave Letterman
He has heart, he is warm and funny, and no pit bull alive has shredded a feather pillow into an explosion of swirling eddies of down half as well as Dave destroyed McCain after he was stood up.

He also has taken on O Reilly in equally as effective and funny a manner.

Remember, laughing and crying are very close to one another, one often does one thing instead of the one seemingly the most appropriate for a situation. Letterman is great for moral and raw common sense.

Thanks Dave.

14. Letterman's show is television at its best
The stuff with McCain has really helped our side.
His tribute for Paul Newman last night was moving and from the heart.

17. Dave was a solid guy after 9-11, carried allot of the message of coming together...
down played the humor stuff, shed a tear when his broadcast came back on after 3-4 days, made nice-nice, or laid off the jokes about the president...that just happened to be g.w. bush the lying divider *not* the uniter. When bush and his junta, McCain included, took all the respect they were given by the world back one piece at a time Letterman knew they were just stupid and squandered it; Dave's razor wit came back out front more & more, and now this McCain shit.. He's had enough, we've all had enough of republican fatigue straight up!! It's time for them to fucking go.

18. Letterman and Leno have had 8 year vacation under Bush
Their writers probably come up with most of their material, but honestly, anyone could of been in their place. The only thing Bush has been good for is laughs, his speeches, funny faces, policies, are str8t comedy. Our president for the last 8 years was beaten silly by a pretzel, can't annunciate the english language correctly, pretends to be a texan, was a cheerleader in college, wore that ridiculous flightsuit to the fake victory extravaganza in san diego harbor, joked about not being able to find wmds under his desk and around his office at the press dinner, calls foreign leaders pet names like Putie, brags about not reading the newspaper, claims his only mistake in life was trading sammy sosa, his own mom didn't think he could be president.

You could not create a character funnier than the real "dubya".

Letterman might of gotten old years ago without him and Leno might of handed the reigns over to Conan without Bush every being in office, but why not collect 10s of millions a year when you don't have to even try to be funny, just report what idiotic thing Bush said or did that day, if nothing there, move on to the next buffoon, Cheney, and on down the line.

20. Dave has a kid now. He now has to think about the world he's leaving for Harry.
Dave knows a world run by the GOP will mean nothing but suffering for Harry.
