She does an invaluable service against the rw.

2. But it's so fun when the others are in a feisty mood
And they take turns dismantling her insipid nonsense. I hear Elisabeth is getting tired of being such a vaporbrain, though, and wants a more welcoming sinecure. Something at Fox is my understanding.

17. I've been hoping she would leave for a lo-o-o-ong time!
Typical RW-er - she can dish it out, but she can't take it.

6. That is the problem...
This dumb little bimbo gets on this show that is watched all over the nation by women who trust people like Barbara Walters and some of the others. The then assume that Walters wouldn't allow lies to be propagated from her show so when Lizzy starts in with her right wing bull shit.
People, mostly women believe it.

9. I was shocked to hear over the last couple of days applause for her
ignorant comments.

We are a nation that that has embraced mediocrity. The dumbing down has been a success.

5. Just remember that "The View" became relevant when Rosie began with a political bent
Edited on Wed Oct-01-08 10:35 AM by justlikeawoman14
and Elizabeth was her foil at the time. Had all the women been on the same page, there would be absolutely nothing to discuss. I have always felt that debate is healthy, realistic, and more interesting than blanket agreement.

I also believe that Rosie was wrong when she and Elizabeth fought that day. HOWEVER, my feelings on Lizzie soured when she made that statement about Michelle Obama. It seemed unncessarily harsh and I wondered where all that animosity was coming from. It was uncharacteristic of her, believe it or not. She used to be more open to both sides but since dealing with the likes of Sean Travesty, she has seemed to get more hardline.

7. Just as long as those representing the reich-wing are dumb, as Hasselbeck is, I'm fine with it.

14. Sorry--I didn't watch it until Rosie came on the scene. I like Lisa's work so I am sure she was good
But I actually meant relevant to the public, in terms of ratings and focus. I was under the impression that Rosie introduced politics on a daily basis and it was more fluff before she was hired.

10. I read she may get her own show at Fox. She is sick of being
Edited on Wed Oct-01-08 11:19 AM by amuse bouche
ganged up on by the rest

I don't know how anyone could sit next to Joy, day after day.

She is a screechy vile, rude lard-mouth. Ugh. She make my shin crawl and is way worse than EH.

Even the world is flat chick comes across more intelligent than Joy, who often comes across as a nasty old perv, who thinks she is the female Don Rickles. She's not.

What a disgusting classless shrew pig

12. I forced myself to watch the clips of Maher on that show
yesterday and I have to admit it was the best performance by that right wing twit I've ever seen. She was thoughtful and respectful. I was floored. It shows she's capable of better if the right wing paycheck dries up/Rove goes to prison/the show's producers tell her to knock it off or else.

I'm just giving the divvil her due here, still won't watch the show because all those people talking over each other drive me nuts.

20. She's been receiving a blast fax from the RNC daily for quite some time
She's their "go-to" talking points girl. Let's just say that Rosie O'Donnell blew Elisabeth's doors off after she left "The View".

The GOP thinks they're going to use a vapid, ditzy blonde to catapult their propaganda? This just signals how desperate they are. She can't debate their little talking points. When anyone comes at her with fact and logic, she collapses into tears or accuses them of bullying her.

21. I think Babs is not happy with Lizzy.
I have watched the View on and off for long stretches. I can't remember her directly challenging a host like she did EH. Every time EH gets hassled about Palin, she can't answer and switches to Obama. She also talks fast and loud, and won't let anybody get in a word. I think Babs has been REALLY pissed since Lizzy went to the Rethug convention and talked about Michelle Obama. She said Michelle had a list of questions not to be asked unlike Cindy. Then she went on to strongly hint that Michelle had something to hide.

26. Wanna hear an interesting story?
I knew Elizabeth Hasselbeck when she was Elizabeth Filarski and trying out for Survivor...
I was living in Boston working for Whole Foods. My mates and I hung out at a bar near BC, where she used to go to school. She was one of those people who thought they knew everything, and she was a bit of a golddigger, She used to yammer on about how she was going to be famous and rich and marry some rich guy so she wouldn't have to lift a finger. She wanted to be famous, more than anything. She talked about it non-stop. We just kept drinking, because that helped drown it out...LOL!
