1. No, who wants her in tears (not that I think she is capable of them)
I'm like to see:

SNARKY PALIN NO MATCH FOR BIDEN'S COMMON SENSE

3. Unfortunately I think tears would gain her a sympathy vote..
so probably would the headline 'PALIN EATEN BY AN ENORMOUS POLAR BEAR ON HER WAY TO DEBATE'. But then McCain could replace her with the polar bear, who would probably have more brains.

4. I couldn't believe it when she was blathering away about how
she was "in second grade" when Biden became senator. Then Katie Couric (whom I'm beginning to respect) asked her what she meant. And Failin just acted like "I didn't mean anything by it... just that he's had a lot of experience in the Senate..."

The interview will be on tonight-- just saw the above clip on Olbermann. Failin makes me CRINGE!!!

5. Well, props to Sarah for listening to Senate speeches in 1972
Mind you, I'm not sure how she was able to do this - I don't recall very many, if any, Senate speeches being televised back then, and I know that I hadn't heard of Joe Biden in 1972, despite the fact that our family was very active in Democratic politics. I wish Katie had asked her for a summary of highlights, but then again, it would have made Katie seem mean. Katie played this one perfectly. Who'd have ever thought Campbell Brown and Katie Couric would be raising the bar for good reporting? I think the worm turned.
