Palin Indicates She’ll Take Aggressive Approach To VP Debate
What's she gonna do, hop on a helicoptor and chase Biden down till he has no fight left? Palin unleashed!

"SEDONA, Ariz.) In an interview with conservative radio host Sean Hannity, Sarah Palin gave a hint of what to expect during Thursday’s vice presidential debate in St. Louis.

Palin told Hannity that she had been brushing up on Barack Obama and Biden’s voting records and has realized “how extremely liberal the other ticket is.”

The Republican vice presidential nominee took several swipes at both Democrats on issues ranging from energy independence, the war in Iraq and taxes.

Though Biden will be her opponent in St. Louis, Palin saved the majority of her attacks for Obama, referring to the Democrat’s vote to cut off funding for troops in Iraq as “reckless and irresponsible” and “so political.” Palin noted that Biden chastised Obama for the Illinois senator’s vote on the issue during the Democratic primary battle..."

1. Oh, she's gonna be throwing out the 'L' word.
Maybe we need to have Biden define 'liberal' tomorrow along with 'maverick'.

19. And that worked so well with McCain last Friday night.
He dropped the "L" word in the debate...and I swear, I could hear the yawns across the country.

and it will be a joy watching biden shoot her down in the same (albeit metaphorical sense) manner that she guns down wolves.

or "Obama is going to surrender to the terrorists" & they won't be able to stop her from doing it.

27. Yet they never let up on Hillary.
She was "the bitch" and "a lesbian" and "ambitious" whatever that means. Why is it Biden has to go easy on her if she's so tough? She "stood up to the special interests" and she's a "reformer" and a "barracuda" but don't ask her any tough questions or challenge her in any way cuz that's not fair and it's mean.

nothing but the same old liberal this, liberal that, but, but,but Clinton did it, higher taxes, more abortions, they are going to take your guns away, socialize everything spiel. I sure hope Biden helps her put her foot in her mouth and demands she talk specifics about what she and McSame think they would do as Pres and VP.

8. And thats how she'll win.
Biden is very handicapped here He can't come off mean, or condescending or he will be viewed as picking on poor Sarah. The media has done a great job lowering expectations, and handicapping Biden. What do you think all that let Sarah be Sarah shit was about last night? Because Sarah is gonna come out like an attack dog, and Joe will have to take it or risk being declared mean to poor Sarah.

9. she's going to try to use biden's statements about Obama during the primaries
to attack Obama. She, of course, is not vulnerable to such claims since she wasn't running. So Biden should instead trot out some of the things that Romney or Huckabee said about McCain -- put her on the spot to either disavow those guys or defend her guy.

12. Meaning .... she won't answer any questions. She'll just parrot the same old lame RW TP's.

She's probably been reading old Limbaugh and Hannity scripts all this time she's been out of the public eye just to bone up on TP's.

I don't know if this debate will be a gigantic laugh riot or just one big bore thanks to Lady Bullwinkle's contribution.

16. Obama voted against funding with no end date: McNasty voted against funding with an end date
So how is Obama's vote “reckless and irresponsible”? But McNasty's vote is supporting the troops?
McNasty's campaign is FUBAR

17. I have a feeling Biden is going to be Biden, and he will call her out and own her if she gives
him the opening. He doesn't use kid gloves in the senate when he debates female sentators, and I have a very hard time believing that Joe is going to change his strategy for this debate. Joe's one very beneficial strength in this debate is that Joe simply has a tough time not being Joe. Yes, he needs to watch his gaffes, he always does, but I see no reason he will not come out swinging when and where he needs to.

20. We've heard a lot more about what Palin will do than Biden
Let Sarah be Sarah. She'll be aggressive. Preparing by the creek. Mock debates. No Ifill. Will she cry? Will she mess up? Will she exceed expectations? Will she answer the questions? Not a word about Biden. Something tells me the Obama camp is calm. And why not? Biden can just go in and say what he has to say. He can give them the truth and they'll think it's hell.

I am less worried now that we know she doesn't even read newspapers.

23. Since even the McCain team know this debate is a real loser for them
their tactic is to make Biden mad so he'll yell, or be too forceful, or patronizing or condescending. This is patently obvious in its transparency. She's just saying what they're telling her to say. The asinine "I've been listening to his speeches since I was, like, two." is as truthful as "I read every newspaper they put in front of me."

If she's been listening to his speeches then she's stupider than she comes across since she obviously didn't gain any knowledge from then till now.

This is so obvious! And Biden isn't going to fall for it. It's so Rovian, only Rovian in the throes of dementia, chewing his toothless gums. Sarah's qualifications may be her ability to wipe the spittle and drool off of McCain's chin while she waits for him to croak.

Even if she "wins" the debate, she loses. It will be compared to her crap-assed interviews and seen as the result of _ood coachi_, not a _ood candidate.

Bottom line: She might do pretty well. She will avoid as much actual policy talk as possible, and focus on sounding like she knows what she's talking about. She's planning on getting in contemptuous zingers and one-liners and throwing on that ole Palin charm (I've never seen it, but...). Don't forget who shapes opinion, as long as she doesn't spend the better part of the evening drooling on herself, those quarters will declare her resurrected! Headline in tomorrow's NY Post: "SHE'S BACK!"
