Here's why contractors in government are a bad idea. Revealing national security secrets on flickr.
These photos are amazing. This guy has broken some serious OPSEC. He's obviously a tech for the Navy or some contractor. They have been up for 5 months, can't believe this guy still has a job. Guarantee many foreign intelligence orgs have already been all over this. He's basically telling us which antennas are dedicated to which satellites and their designations and frequencies. Amazing!

"SGAS 16.5m antenna pointing at the TDRS 8 satellite and the SNE radome to the right. Yep, those are trailer offices,"

"This is an 11-meter S- and Ku-Band Space-to-Ground Link (SGL) antenna in Guam. Both antenna and radome are 10 years old."

"This is known as the Inter-Facility Link (IFL) passageway. It connects the SGL antennas and includes waveguide, communication switches, combiners, and other hardware. The cable "raceway" is to the left. We walk this way many times a day"

"The 16.5m radome, 16.5-m S-, Ku-Band satellite antenna, and the 11-m space frame radome next to the facilities building."

"This rack is full of satellite communication electronics that is used to conducted uplink and downlink testing"

"Checking the start and stop frequencies for specific communication services. Yes, that is a HP-15C RPN calculator emulator on an iPod Touch (for u fans...heh)"

1. Is posting them here a good idea?
Based on the time I've spent on MySpace, Facebook, Flickr, etc. I will say that common sense is DEAD. Narcissistic braggarts.

2. Foreign intel organizations are like hoover vacuum cleaners.
On the sites you specified plus Youtube. The Chinese are especially known for this. The damage is already done.

5. I think I read on DU that MI6 is now recruiting from Facebook...
and that the CIA funds the site. But I could be hallucinating... it's been a rough couple o' weeks.

4. I don't, it's extremely revealing.
I do know that if you or I tried to whip out a camera and take pics of those radomes, we'd have MPs swarming us in about two seconds. This guy is showing the interiors of the buildings and equipment racks. Communications security is highly sensitive. Just go to flickr and search "radomes", that's what I did.

6. I'd be surprised if the NSA is any less of a "vacuum cleaner"
on our own intelligence leaks, and they would be taken down if they were a problem.

7. Probably not.
To do so would also be leaking NSA's capabilities.
