3. I don't want to ruin it for you.....but Bill Maher is interviewing the Ex-Gay guy..... |
|
.... who asserts that no one is really gay, and so-called gay people are really very unhappy people who've started this life of perversion to escape their sadness. ..... The film then cuts to scenes of people dancing and having a good time at gay pride parades. Then it cuts back to the interview, and Maher argues with him, telling him that some people are just born gay, pissing off the ex-Gay dude to the point where he wants to end the interview. Maher calms him down, then tells him that if he didn't know who he was, he would just assume he was gay, because of how neat and well-groomed he is, which elicits a blank stare from the ex-Gay dude. Words don't do it justice.....you've got to see it.

10. And the "ex-gay" guy surely was stiff as my dead uncle |
|
... a trmendous movie! I saw it last night, too. Maher just nailed the conclusion, too. The theatre was dead silent at the end. Haunting. Oh, and to my sister-in-law: go fuck your jesus.

6. According to boxofficemojo.com......The estimated grosses thru Sat. |
|
for Religulous was $1.12 million and An American Carol was $1.2 million
BUT
Religulous is only playing on 500 screens.....An American Carol is on 1,600, meaning it's a huge flop.

8. Considering that most Wing things |
|
Are in three groupings:
1) Those into theaters the first days to have their world View affirmation, with few repeat viewers.
2) Cheapskate Super-rich not bothering to venture into riffraff "movie houses" instead waiting for the DVD.
3) Naive normal people who regretted seeing the clunker and hastily and heartily spread the word it sucks.
Meaning, the first few days will be "Carol's." It may not get out of the single digit millions $ gross.

4. I saw a clip of the film. Maher is raggedly dressed on a street in London and yelling at the |
|
crowd. He's telling them of the beliefs of Scientology and all of the people thinks he's nuts!!! It was hysterical and I can't wait to see it!!!
