The Bad News is that your investments, 401K's, etc. have lost half their value (or more).
The Good News is that they were never really worth as much as you thought they were six months or a year or three years ago, so you've lost less than you may think.

I'm not freaked out. It's a lateral move. My house goes up, my house goes down. Your house goes up, your house goes down. Your currency goes up, etc. etc. When the dust settles, we are at about even.
