the citizens.. a JFK type "Put a Man on the Moon in 10 Years" Program. only for total "Oil Free" Energy..

solar, wind, hemp bio fuel.. "local cooperatives" not multinational corporations -food fuel cycles such as rice straw can produce an equal weight of food:mushrooms, the fungus turns cellulose into sugars, ferment that into alcohol fuel and have high grade feed for animals left over, local "excess"corn to alcohol, fungus the mash into food, ferment the spent mash into fuel feed .

we could pay off the national debt if we own the source of our nations energy.. or we can make .01% of our population richer than the poorest 4 billion people on the earth.. and we will starve in the cold.

or we can own it, they have proved they CAN NOT BE TRUSTED.. an rebuild our manufacturing potential to become independent as a matter of national security and survival.

we can become free of oil, manufacture and provide the means for other developed and developing countries to become free of oil ALSO.. or we can starve cause they will fuck everything up worse than they already have.. the earth will get even with us if we neglect our duties as care takers and stewards of our planet.

as for the national debt, the best way to get even is to just pay them what we owe them, while we put them out of business..
then we can get on with creating a bottom up economic society and import that too.

it is also time to reclaim our language Back from the Fascists, "Socialism" is 'Government of the people, for the people, by the people.' Fascism is government of the Corporations by the Corporations for the corporations.. where over 90% of a countries wealth is usually owned by <1% of the population.

it's time for change.. it will be too late if we wait even a couple years. the time is NOW

2. The Obama Administration will position the United States as the Center of Excellence for renewables
After the Government takes the lead, all kinds of start-up entrepreneur companies will jump in. It will take Government intervention to break Big Oil's grip on the energy markets in this country first.

The lion's share of energy production in this country is centered around big facilities built and operated by big companies. The secret is to spread the production around to the average citizens and eliminate the centralized control we have now.

When the citizens are in charge of energy production, this country will flourish once again.

4. We could start by getting a fair price for the resources we have
The reason oil companies want authorization to drill offshore and ANWR is not because we need the oil. There is plenty of oil, with the consumer supply being restricted by artificial constraints in the refinery system in order to prop up the price.

The reason they want the drilling authority is because our country practically GIVES AWAY that oil to them. We need to flip that around. It is AMERICAN property. it is property of the citizens. The oil companies should get a fair profit for the actual cost of doing business and for the risks they take. But beyond that, the main profits from oil should go to the taxpayers. After all, it is OUR COUNTRY. It is OUR OIL.
