My simple suggestion for countering the Obama = Anti-American/Pro-Terrorist BS...
Have these lovely people talk to the media about their Grandson.

Obama's grandparents, Stanley Dunham and Madelyn Dunham, during World War II.
Stanley enlisted in the Army after Pearl Harbor,
and Madelyn worked on a bomber assembly line.

Obama with his grandparents in New York City in the 1980s.

I hate to suggest that Obama roll out his Grand parents for political reasons
but I think they would be the most effective counter argument to the ridiculous
"who is Obama" nonsense circulating today.

3. Yes, I was thinking that maybe Obama could be seen

with his family more.

He is a great speaker on his own but maybe it would be nice if he is seen in his family context.

4. I don't think his grandfather is still living. His grandmother is in Hawaii, but too sick to travel
I'm sure that they will both figure prominently in his 30 minute special, at the very least.

13. I hope so.
I am disgusted by the dangerous/racist rhetoric the McCain camp is promoting.

5. I believe his grandfather is deceased, and his grandmother is living in Hawaii --
I THINK she has severe arthritis or osteoporosis, and can't travel.

11. I'm sorry to hear about his Grandfather. I wonder if his Grandmother is well
enough to do an interview if someone comes to her?

15. I've just heard it referenced that she was unable to travel due to health, and
one time it was said she had severe (again, I can't remember) either arthritis or osteoporosis. I don't know if her condition would make it difficult for an interview or not.

Not sure when his grandfather died, but for some reason I get the feeling that it wasn't all that recently. I'm sure somebody will come along who will know.

17. Awww -- he's missed so much of what Obama has accomplished. I'm glad
his grandmother is still here to see it. Thanks.

6. Both pictures are great, but the bottom one could be very effective.
Two very normal looking respectible white folks and Barack is their grandson!

7. Call McCain as "Racist"
I think calling McCain as racist is more effective. The real contest between Obama and McCain is undecided independent voters. I think independent voters are very sensitive to "racist" issue and it is not hard to paint McCain as Racist at all. There are plenty of good stuff out there. My friend told me that McCain called us Asians "Gooks" in the media before. And then we have That One.

And I truly believe McCain is a racist.

8. That way lies the RW meme "they're both playing dirty...
both parties are the same" etc.

Obama won the first debate partly by being respectful to McCain.

9. No- the GOP wants us to make this about Race- but we know it's about GOP hate in general.
I disagree with you- the GOP would love for Obama to call McCain a "racist" so they can accuse him of "playing the race card" and "hiding behind race"

We are on to that one and no one is going to fall for it.
