Actually, unlike Ralph, I was just going to ask why an intelligent man from my home state would support a guy like McCain. He's certainly not going to do doodley squat for you if he's elected and he's more than showing his stripes when it comes to negelcting lower income families, back scratching with the elite of washington and denigrating the very mom-n-pop-n-joe six pack types he'd have support him. I appreciate a diversity of opinions on the issue but I gotta say, you're way wrong about supporting the conservatives this time around.

I saw you at the John McCain rally today in Wisconsin and while I feel that everyone is in titled to thier choice but especially with us as African Americans but what I am confused about is how you can be a part of the hate that is stiring up in the McCain/Palin ticket. I know you are a smart man so you can see the bottom of the base they are stirring up and therefore you can imagine how appalled I was to see you on TV stirring that base as well. You of all people should at least know what could possibly happen. While you were inside you did not see what was going on outside that has been caught on tape with people calling him a terroist and saying things like kill him etc.. And yet there you were on TV the one of the few blacks in this party that shows nothing of America in their party spouting the crap with McCain letting him hug you treating you as the house Negro. Again you can be for whoever you want to be but I am just saying those people could care less about you and you know it. You really need to look at what is going on and pray on this because if anything happens to Obama or anyone one of your fellow black brothers and sisters will be on your head. I will pray for you!

I had the great displeasure of watching you lower yourself to a common house negro today, ratting out the field slaves that were singing about Freedom today. Did mas-sah pay you well, to say "begging" and "Whoop my ass".
This is America we are free to support whom ever we choose for whatever reason we choose to, but did you really have to sell your soul today for the almighty dollar, a little free publicity for your radio show.
I am a sistah who has been a accused of "Acting" white my entire life, because of my "White" Girl name and my desire to speak as an educated woman. I even Supported McCain's run for the white house in 2000. In fact if he had remained the same McCain of 2000, I would have had a difficult time choosing between the candidates.
But one thing I would never do in front of Millions, is lower myself to a character of how some whites wish to see blacks. Bowing and begging and getting an ASS whooping.

I am sure you will not bother to read this message but you are a disgrace to yourself and your African American heritage. However, I am sure that 20 years from now, you will be one of those people who tell their grandchildren that you supported the first African American president in U.S. history. Unfortunately, I do not have adequate words to describe my displeasure, shame, and disgust at your recent behavior. Why you cannot see that you are being used because you are African American is beyond understandable. I agree with another writer that I also believe in a diversity of opinions but those opinions should be based on factual and thoughtful reasoning. What McCain and Palin are doing now is nothing short of race baiting and people like you are being used to promote such activities. I have no problem if you support McCain's policy on the war that kills our young poor males disproportionately, I have no problem if you support his stance on education when some of our inner city schools don't even have text books, I don't care if you support his views on the economy when it's our people who suffer greatly, I don't care if you support his stance on gun control when it's out youth and community that is plagued with violence. I don't even care if you are not concerned that McCain had never voiced an interest over the atrocities in the Sudan. That is your misguided right. I don't even know where to start. I am saddly disappointed in what I saw last night while watching CNN and your appearing on there at a McCain rally speaking out about distroying another that looks like you.
As the mother of an African American young man, I strive to teach my son on a daily basis to always remember where he comes from and to always reach back and help others that are less fortunate than he is. He was taught that no matter how you make it in life, never sell yourself out for the sake of a dollar.
I am a college educated, professional woman, not asking for handouts from anyone. Although I don't know your background or where you come from, I am sure somewhere in the midst of it all, there were some in your family that struggled. I think you forgot that when you made the conscience choice to pick a candidate, who not only refuses to do anything for those that are struggling, but one who is content with running his smear campaign based on lies. What are the issues, the lies McCain continuously repeats or the crisis that this nation is now facing? Guilt by association, to me that's the same as saying that a person can't think or be responsible for his/her own actions. I am sure if we look in your pass, we could find some undesirables, people that you wouldn't connect yourself to at this point in your life, but does that make you them, or are you responsible for only your own actions?
I am not voting for Barrack because he is a black man, I am voting for Barrack because I believe in him and I believe that he is the answer to what we need to turn this country around. Understanding that McCain is a vet, and I too am a vet, and I am sure we all appreciate that and can never take that away from him, but that doesn't qualify him to be president. And to think of the possibility of Sarah Palin being president should frighten you, which based on McCain's health and age, that is a real possibility. Would you like her to run this great country, a country that she didn't want to be a part of as they pushed for Alaska to be seperate? And to say that she is an expert on foreign policy because she can look across at Russia??? I have been to over 8 countries, spent over 7 years abroad, and by no means would I ever make a claim that I am an expert in foreign policies, no more than she should.
I just pray for you that you never fall on hard times because the option you are voting for will not benefit you. Keep being part of the campaign that throws mud and has no clue of solving issues rather than the campaign that runs on listening to and promoting ways to help the common man for the common good. Remembered that your ancestors also struggled for us to be where we are today. It's okay that you "made it." But it is your responsiblity to make sure that others like you also make it, and you can't do that when you choose to vote for a man whose only interest is to protect himself and people like him.

Tell us, James, are you so obtuse that you don't see how your candidate and his followers now seem completely desperate in assailing an opponent's character when it has already been tried and has failed and that American voters care more about issues affecting their everyday lives, that Obama is actually addressing? Do you not hear and see the bile and hatred from your fellow McCain followers when they shout "socialist!" and "terrorist!" at the very mention of Obama's name? Are you oblivious to the behavior of a Florida McCain-Palin audience which made obscene gestures to members of the news media (which, need I remind you, you are one of) and at least one member yelled a racial epithet at a black soundman before yelling at him to, "sit down, boy!"
Those last words were, in effect, what McCain told you after effectively patting you on the head and reassuring you he would "take it to" Obama, who you conveniently and inaccurately label as a "socialist."
Here's another one for you: Are you not yet weary of explaining to your fellow African Americans that deep down you really feel you're not the self-loathing black man you appear to be?
No, I'm not talking about your condemnation of Obama. Supporting McCain doesn't make you a sellout. But what about your opposition to the Black Holocaust Museum's being bailed out by the city of Milwaukee? In your mind, are AIG and Wall Street companies worthy of being bailed out, as your candidate voted for, but an institution which chronicles the heritage and history of your own people not?
Why do you so virulently oppose mainstream African American thoughts and values and your eagerness to draw national attention to that opposition? Have you designated yourself to white America as an apologist for the collective misdeeds of African Americans?
Only a first-rate attention whore would genuflect as you did yesterday on the altar of conservatism and grovel before its anointed king to win his approval and his minions' fleeting love.
You used yesterday's occasion before the television cameras and radio microphones to uplift yourself from obscurity at the price of national ridicule.
Well, may God bless you and grant you a safe journey back to obscurity. That's exactly where you'll be, once again, come the morning of November 5.
