These Gold Buy Up commercials... What's up?
Gold for green backs. Obviously, some folks are banking on tightening up the market by restricting the supply and exchanging the failing dollar for valuable precious metals.

Wasn't it too long ago that were commercials all over the place touting that gold for sale as a great investment.

Anyone have any insight?

2. I don't know, but my guess is it's predatory...
they'll purchase desperate people's gold, at some bargain price. People selling their jewelery to buy groceries.

4. They make a point os showing that the gold is melted down
And the precious stones separated

And there is a predatory aspect to it as well

3. I hate that one over excited woman who goes: "It's FAST, it's EASY..."
I think you know who I'm talking about.

But anybody who puts their valuables into an envelope and sends them to strangers and trusts that they will get money back--or at least the right amount of money back--is a fool.

5. The Same Places are Always Trying to Sell Gold
That's their business. The particular selling points change with economic conditions. Advertising increases in times of fear when listeners are more likely to be open to their message.

It disturbs me that Air America runs so many of their ads, not only because network may become associated with that point of view, but because their listeners are being encouraged to put their money in an investment with a signficant amount of risk:

7. I'm confused. Are we talking about ads for selling gold or buying gold?

9. Sorry, I Was Unclear
They are selling their services, which are trying to get customers to buy gold. So their ad attempt to encourage the listener to buy gold.

6. When those ads are on AM radio, do exactly the opposite of what they are telling you
You'll win almost every time.
