Anyone a fan of Alan Colmes?
Does anyone enthusiastically look foward to watch Hannity and Colmes to see him tear down conservatives and call them on their BS? I can't watch Hannity and Colmes for more then 5 minutes. They build up a strong case between Hannity and his RW guest and Colmes looks incredibly weak, sometimes agreeing with them. I haven't seen any positive comments about Colmes on here and I was wondering if anyone here is a fan.

33. The Washington Generals come to mind..............
If you're not familiar, They were the team that played The Harlem Globetrotters for about 30 years. They lost.........every game. Something like 900 loses over the years. They were there essentially, as a punching bag.

That's Alan Combs. He's an incompetent punching bag who masquerades as the "librul" opposition to the screaming wing-nuttery on The Republic Party Network. I'm sure he knows his role and does it gladly for the 6 figure income it provides.

2. Alan Colmes, I'm conviced....
...is really a conservative--hired to play the part of the lilly-livered, milquetoast,
liberal--and the reason he landed the part is because he's a physically unappealing weirdo
who looks like a giant, cross-eyed praying mantis wearing 1980's wire-rimmed glasses.

10. I used to like his radio program before he went over
to Fox. They do something to people over at Fox some kind of brainwashing or hypnosis. I seem to remember Geraldo was very liberal until he went to Fox. Juan Williams is another one that has turned into a Republican hack since he went over there.

12. I watched Geraldo this weekend
He did come up with a plan I agree with. He suggested giving every american a $1,000,000 with the bailout money, he said housing crisis would be solved.

19. In stead of spending all that money blowing up Iraq we
could have given Saddam and family a billion to get lost. Then we could have built each Iraqi family a $100,000 home.

26. I have heard the estimates of the Iraq war anywhere
from $500B - $1 T. If I take your number of $700 B and say there are 24,000,000 people in Iraq and say there are 4 per family that would give you 6,000,000 homes. That would give you $116,666.67 per family home.

28. That would be $1,000,000 each for 700,000 people. 7000
times $1,000,000 is only $7 billion. You need two more zeros. Besides that I said a $100,000 home not $1,000,000. Using your figure of $700 B you could build 6,000,000 homes costing $116,666.67 each. The last I heard the population of Iraq was around 24,000,000 take 4 per family equals 6,000,000 homes.

13. he's completely different on his radio program
we get his show here at midnight weekdays. he gets lots of calls from right wingers. he has patience with them to a point and then lowers the boom. i think that they must believe he'll be the same wimpy character he seems to be on tv. but he isn't the same at all.

i wish he'd bring his radio self to the tv.

I hate how they always have to open Hannity and Colmes with 20 minutes devoted to Karl Rove, Dick Morris, or Newt Gingrich.

14. I hear he had a great radio program.
Sadly, the weak, parasitic twin of Sean Hannity is the only way I've ever seen Alan Colmes. Sean Hannity has sucked the life force out of Colmes, I believe.

30. Colmes' radio program completely distinguishable from H & C.
I listened to his show on WEVD. Not only was he able to give his opinions unfettered by management and/or a cohost, but he had a good time with callers who wanted to challenge him. His present syndicated program is not as strong as the EVD show.

31. Colmes seems like a respectful, polite person,
which obviously doesn't pair well with a boorish, overbearing, a-hole like Hannity.
It's a shame to hear his talents are being hamstrung. Right now Hannity is using Colmes as a footrest.

32. Alan Colmes is secure enough in his skills so that Hannity doesn't phase him.
He's taken on rightwing guests and treated them with courtesy but hard-nosed questions with follow-up. Newt Gringrich comes to mind.
