If anyone would like to throw a dolla' against Peter F*@cking King:
His young opponent has an Act Blue donation page:

Peter King is a reg pig in a blue state. Long Island hosted the last of the Red Coats during the Revolutionary War, and the attitude has been stuck on stupid since then. I live in a tiny little blue sliver at the edge of this big, stupid red chunk of the Greater NY area and it's been really on my nerves that this B*sh rubberstamp neocon bootlicker is my rep. He's capitalized on his position on Homeland Security Committees to pour funds for advanced weaponry into our local police departments and encourage surveillance on the local populace, and generally lowered the standard of political discourse countywide.

He has a habit of sending nasty, snarky "who cares what you think" letters to constituents who disagree with his voting habits to the extent that you can purchase this bumpersticker at cafepress:

1. I heartily agree ... his opponent needs to be supported. King is the biggest of dirt bags.
Unfortunately, he's my rep. too. He is heartless, a definite rubber stamp, arrogant and detached to boot.

I'd LOVE to see the end of his career here, he represents NO ONE but himself and the Bush administration.

2. Does this guy really have half a chance of...
getting King out or is he another throwaway? I haven't paid that much attention to Nassau, so I don't know the numbers there.

King is a pig and isn't he a Margiotta holdout and so he should be gone? He must bring home gobs of pork besides assault cop goodies to stay around.

We got the reverse situation out east here-- Republicans threw in the towel and and put up some kid to challenge Tim Bishop. Lots of signs for the kid, but he's got no money and no policy except more tax cuts. And he's an Iraq vet with a whole year of actual job experience. Bishop's having him for lunch.

(But our state senator is running unopposed-- the likely Democrat pissed off the party and got dropped from the ticket.)

3. It is not terribly likely . . King has been a pork-meister around here
long enough to have some support among the DLC dems and he's very popular among the local Hasidim.

These pig heads will probably have to hurt more in their personal pocketbooks to catch on...
