TSA Screener Steals $200K of Passenger Goods; Becomes E-Bay Powerseller
Apologies if this is a dupe, but...

From http://www.bitterwallet.com/tsa-screener-steals-200k-of-passenger-goods-becomes-ebay-powerseller/983

TSA screener steals $200k of passenger goods - becomes eBay Powerseller

(snip)

No joke. Pythias Brown, a TSA screener in New Jersey, has been helping himself to the bounty of the x-ray machine and re-selling the items on eBay. The largest item stolen was a $47,900 camera from inside the bag of an HBO employee. Now, this is a bad thing but probably only a behavioral result of being named Pythias.

You have to give him credit though for his faultless 100% positive feedback record on eBay.

fast, friendly, awesome product. just as described. will do business again. A+++++

2. Leave nothing in a checked bag that you really want to see again.
A recognized problem, which became worse after the war on terra started.

Before all bags were x-rayed, a screener or bag handler had to just take a chance on finding something of value - now they know which ones to go for.

A few months ago my mother-in-law lost her camera to one of these turkeys. She put it in her checked bag, thinking it would be safer.

6. So how do you take something of value with you?
I'm a saxophonist and I at times need to take my horn with me on a trip. I also have a very high quality reed knife I purchased 40 years ago. It's Italian made and a very fine tool. But, I can't take it with me on the plane because it is a knife. And now I can't put it in my check luggage because a TSA screener might find it and put it with his booty.

I don't think I can find a quality tool like this again, so I don't want to lose it. How do I transport it?

3. The "free market" strikes again...
But really, who's going to stop him? I mean the one who takes something from your carry-on claiming its not allowed even when you know it is...

You?

Yeah, right. Challenge a TSA screener and watch yourself be whisked away into a small room for detention and questioning while you miss your flight...

4. Well, I guess we gotta start somewhere...
...with a national redistribution of the wealth program -- I didn't know TSA was spearheading it though.

5. The gummint job was just a sideline for him.

What an entrepreneur!

He learned to adapt and succeed in the BushCo economy.

He ought to be a hero to the rethuglicans.
