David Frum, the condescending prick, gets smacked down by Rachel.
On yesterday's The Rachel Maddow Show, David Frum appeared as a guest on Rachel's show and essentially said her show was just a little circus that furthered the deterioration of national debate just like the McCain campaign is doing. According to him, it is unserious and has a smarmy attitude, and therefore doesn't discuss the important issues.

The beauty of the show is that she squeezes more serious issues on TV than any other mainstream cable show out there, and does it with wit and humor that make it not even seem like a hard news show.

Imagine how Bill O'Reilly or Glenn Beck would have handled Frum, who is one of the reasons for the deterioration of the debate in the first place.

(sorry, don't have a direct link to the segment, hit link and look for 'Grand old panic' under the 'Latest videos' section, currently second down-Frum comes in at the 3:00 minute mark)

1. I saw that he kept saying "Both sides do it" and "You sarcasm and humor are the same as"
Rachel kept after him and asking if her humor was the same as someone yelling "TRAITOR" or "TERRORIST" about Obama.

HE was and remains a petulant prick

3. She devastated his "argument" by asking if her show was the moral equivalent
of yelling "terrorist" or "kill him" like McCain's supporters do.

He just refused to answer because she devastated his idiotic theory with that.

4. More interesting to me was that Shrum
was basically admitting/accepting that he thinks the Repubs are going to lose the election.

6. He's not the only one.
Many of the so-called 'intellectual' conservatives (if that isn't a contradiction in terms) have jumped ship. They still have some loose tether to reality, unlike the cultural conservatives whose tether has finally snapped with the Palin pick.

But in his case, don't mistake that basic sense of awareness for anything more than being slightly more aware than all-out nutcases.

7. Frums Sits Very Alone These Days...
You can see how bitter this scumbag looked...and his lashing out at Rachel was more his own frustrations than anything she incited. Some here may relate to what he's experiencing with the losses in elections or capitulations on important legislation. He sees his beloved "ideology" proven to be an utter failure, but he's unrepentant and his frustration is how "others" abused that ideology...thus his lashing out at Gramps and others in his camp. He's a very lonely creature...realizing that not only is his ideology being refuted by the electorate but that this country can be heading in the complete opposite direction. It's been a nasty fall for the neo-cons who still refuse to see their "contribution" in the clusterfuck that is this country today.

What was very amusing is how Rachel's chiding of Wolfowitz really got Frum's goat. How ironic it is to hear this shitstain say how partisan Rachel's work is while he's gladly trooped onto Faux and hate radio shows and jumped into the swill.

May he get even more miserable...never to grace the public discourse again.
