Sad story - Heaven has a new angel.

Hope Violet died early yesterday. She was 2 years old.

Her family are good friend's with my husband's family. Her mom and dad knew she would have Downs before she was born. Like half of all Downs kids, she had a hole in her heart and had it repaired when she was just 3 months old. Then, this April, she was diagnosed with Leukemia. (Another problem more common with Downs.) She had extensive chemotherapy, but the cancer was just too strong. It's hitting us particularly hard because our youngest is only a month younger than Hope. I can't imagine her parents' pain right now. The tragedy is compounded by the fact that 13 years ago, this same family lost a 5 month old to SIDS that would have been Hope's 1st cousin. Corina Joy was my best friend's baby. To lose one baby is unbelievable. To lose 2, is just too horrible for words.

Please keep Hope, her mom Dyana, dad- Anthony and big sister Julianna in your prayers today. As well as their whole family as they deal with this tragic loss.
