Republican billboards-- What they're saying.
I sometimes do a canvas of the billboards in the area to see what's going on in everyone's head. Here is a sample. Anyone want to take a gander where they're going with some of the messages?

Outside a church: One on God's side is a majority.

Outside a church: Peace is not the absence of conflict, but the ability to cope with it?

Outside a private business: Defend our freedom. Do not give it away. Too many have died for it.

1. I'll translate this one
One on God's side is a majority

If you hear God's voice in your head, don't let anyone tell you you're crazy.

8. It definitely seems to encourage people to do unlawful things if their
faith instructs them to.

2. Outside a church here in darkest Mississippi:
"Jesus Christ is the literal truth." I noticed it yesterday. Subtle, eh?

9. But who is interpreting his word, since he can't speak for himself?

3. Years ago, I saw a billboard while on a raod trip, could have been Wisconsin...
Don't really remember where it was, but it said something like "Thankful that God is an American".

I just thought WTF??? How stupid are these people? So now God is only 200 years old?

10. The world revolves around them.
Sort of like children, they need time to open up their horizons. They're still in the "me" stage.

4. My favorite
This was on a church's bulletin board in Virginia:

"The most powerful position is on your knees."

It didn't last long.

Also, on a church billboard in Illinois early in the summer when we had all that rain:

"Hey Noah, still got those blueprints?"

11. Oh, my God. I still can't get over the powerful position.
I pray standing up, or reclined.

The sign I see every day at the church on my street.

Its Unitarian Universalist.

Go figure.

It's always about turning the other cheek or raising money for Darfur or stuff like that. :P

7. They're saying if Obama wins, start Civil War II, even if everyone knows he really did win.

You know what? That, horrible as it sounds, maybe it's not such a bad thing to just get it the fuck over with BEFORE the Bushies fully Bushify/Nazify and corrupt our law enforcement at every level and in every corner, if they haven't already.

Not that I would want such a thing if it was at all possible NOT to have it. But the Bushie Followers are now very clearly acting like Bushie/Nazis and their leadership is goading them like Nazi leadership goaded THEIR PEOPLE. Only difference is the Bushies have to use more Plausible Deniability than the Nazis they pattern themselves after did. We may have no choice, God Forbid.

It doesn't matter that it's more subtle than straight up Nazi/KKK talk. After 30 years of quote-unquote poltical correctness, Bushies are well-skilled in speaking code to their "KKK Without the Pointy Hats and Funny Robes".

May God Forbid it (but if She didn't forbid Nazis, then why would She forbid Kinder and Gentler Nazis like the Bushies?), but if it is to happen, let their crazies start it while law enforcement is still even semi-honest and UnBushified.

Late 1933- Early 1934 Germany: Through a series of pronouncements, the entire national stance of German law Enforcement changed, sometimes overnight.

Nazi Officials, now in full "legal control" of the government, directed all state and local law enforcement agencies to engage ANY domestic violence eruption ALWAYS ON THE SIDE OF THE NAZIS...

Plus a change, plus a la meme chose.
(the more things change, the more they stay the same)

The Fired US Attroneys Scandal and the ACORN Bushie Propaganda Op show quite clearly this corruption of State and Local Law Enforcement directed by the Criminal Bushie Wing of the DOJ, which I am sure is HUGE after 8 years, with only small pockets of honest resistance remaining.

We are close to the Point of No Return with much of this stuff. Bushification is pretty much complete for them to be able to pull off the ACORN Propaganda OP so easily and thoroughly, with nary a mention that Iglesias was fired BECAUSE he wouldn't play ball with this criminal RICO Conspiracy, but carried out by THE LAW.

The Bushies are manuevering us into the EXACT SAME TRAP that Hitler manuevered the German people into. A "fully legal", yet fully criminalized State.

And our Democrats have behaved EXACTLY as the German Social Democrats did. Almost identically.

And now this: the dangerous whipping up of Nazi-ish attitudes in people who have already been Nazi-Bushie brainwashed repetetively for 25 years by Limbaugh/Coulter/Hannity/Savage/etc. into an EVEN GREATER FRENZY.

Whatever is happening with the "election", these are MUCH more significant occurances and signposts in terms of the Big Long-Term Picture, IMHO.
