Overheard at my doctor's office today |
|
"I love how calm and intelligent Obama seems. I am definitely voting for him. And I'm a Republican! At least, I thought I was a Republican."

2. McCain looked like a loser |
|
as in, someone who is and has lost this race.
His attitude toward Obama during the debate, the smirks, the obvious, barely controlled rage - Obama was presidential.
McCain was desperate.

3. They were talking about the debate |

It was two older women. I've heard a lot of election talk, but the "at least I thought I was a Republican" made me look twice.

I've noticed something about the Republicans that I know personally. The ones who are willing to look past the party line and simply vote based on who is best equipped to handle our country at such a time as this, are voting for Obama.
Most of the people I know that are voting for McCain are the kind of people that would vote Republican even if the devil himself was rearing his ugly head on their ticket.
