I met someone yesterday who has 3 special needs children |
|
under the age of 5. One has autism, another has a genetic defect and I can't remember the 3rd. Just the genetic draw, I guess.
I was in line with her at the food pantry along with 150 other people. She isn't facing foreclosure and her husband has a job with benefits. But obviously she is not in a position to work at all, and they are going to be a one income family with a lot of needs for a long time. She said she applies for all the help they can get. But one income isn't enough.

1. The economic terrorism wrought in this country has made it difficult |
|
for a family to live on one income, and that's a crime.

We talked about that. The food pantry has an Obama poster up and they have even registered people to vote there. Yesterday I met a former felon, aged 30, who was asking if he could vote for Obama because he had never voted before. In WI if you have served your time, you can vote, and you can register on the day of the election. Everyone in line was so excited for him!
