Racism doesn't excuse racism though... not for anyone.

Saying it doesn't happen or that it's somehow justified doesn't make it go away.

A lot of the bigots out there of every color and creed have been victimized by bigotry themselves. Bigotry is after all mostly fear in my opinion. At least that's how it was for me for about 10 years of my life.

The people who find the "Muslim" label to be inherently negative are simply reacting to their fear of what's different and likely to their own sense of ethno-superiority.

It's also a way for them to talk about his "difference" without mentioning that their objection to his "difference" is literally skin deep.
