OK, **Some Voting Machine programming explained** READ PLS

Remember it is not the machines themselves but the memory cards. I will explain:

OK this is how some of the Voting Machines are programmed. I know because I am in the Computer Systems Engineer and Designer / programmer field and have talked to number of others who are more knowledgeable than me. However this is the sequence of events.

The systems have special programming embedded in the flash drive. The program allows for the systems to be powered on and tested the "special programming" does not start running until the election official selects "Start Election". This special program is not like the machines that are defaulting and changing the selections to the Republicans if a voter touches the screen outside of a selected area after voting. The special programming starts after the "Start Election" is selected. Then it will start either deleting the vote for president and keep all the other votes, or it will flip the vote from Democrat to Republican after the voter has finished. If the system is caught flipping the vote the system assigns a random number that it will use as a counter. Until that number(random) of votes are cast the system will work perfectly. So say for example the system is noticed and the voter complains, the system will know this and suddenly start working perfectly. So the election workers will tell the person "They must have made a mistake" and that is what it will look like since the poll worker can get the system to work perfectly. Because the system assigns a random number between being caught it appears to be a "glitch". There will be many flips that the voter does not notice and will not be brought to the attention of the poll workers. Once that counter has counted down the system will start flipping the votes again. Not all the votes you understand but enough flipping, no vote, and lost data to ensure a very close win for the republicans. (51-49) "Too Bad so sad, Oh dear so close Sorry Democrats you lose again" The systems are then programmed to erase the special code when the "Election end" button is pushed. This means that as soon as the election is finished the "special software" is no longer on the card nor in memory and the vote tally will correspond to the number of voters that came through the door, so the poll workers who in general are doing an honest job can point to their records and point to the computer printout and say see everyone's vote was counted, of course we have some no votes but what can you expect from(fill in the blank)those kind of people. They just don't know how to use the machines.
In the Republican areas the same cards are used but since the voters appear not to be making any mistakes the system does not need to flip quite so many since the Republican candidate will win anyway.
So to show the programming we would need a system that was activated in "Election Started mode" and not yet told "Election Finished"
also the system must not have lost power since that too is a signal to test system to see if election is still on going (it must be on the same day) otherwise once again the system will erase the code. The companies who have written this "virus" like code are very good at what they do and have had quite a few years to perfect this system. However it is difficult to get to the source code since it will be compiled and one would need to decompile it to see exactly what they have done. That would be an immense effort but a good University Computer Department (Stanford perhaps, or the FBI) could probably do it and show what the likes of Diebold et al have done.

Now here is the irony the systems still make real mistakes because it is difficult for the software to be tested outside of a very limited number of people. After a while one sees what one wants to see instead of what is actually there, and so mistakes get over looked. Hence last election system reported over 6000 votes in an area that only had about 600 people. Oops! Or another system that spewed out minus 10,000 for the Democratic candidate. But don't get me wrong these people have had a number of years to perfect the systems and they may be a great deal better at cheating by now.

So what can we do?
1. When you vote be sure to keep a sharp eye on the screen.
2. Look at the paper recorder make sure it has printed how you voted.
3. Some systems need you to confirm your votes after it looks like you are finished - CONFIRM THEM -
4. If in doubt call over a poll worker immediately and get help.
5. If you are good with computers ask if you can help older people.
6. Tell everyone you know about #1,#2,#3
7. Do not accept a provisional ballot if at all possible, they don't get counted.
8. Bring ID Drivers License or Get a State ID (get it at DMV normally) looks like a Drivers License but it is just an ID some states issue them for like $15.00 (if you can't afford it ask a relative to help you) or Birth Certificate, gas bill, credit card with your picture, electric bill. water bill, something with current address. Then don't let them tell you you can't vote.
9 Takewith you, water and some food and expect a long wait, perhaps a folding chair, umbrella etc.
Not all systems use the same terminology so be careful.

For scanned ballots mark carefully the areas to be filled in. Make sure the ink is dry before you hand it in. Wet ink will smudge and the ballot can be deemed to be spoiled. If you have to bring your own black felt tip marker, just in case the markers provided are running with wet ink that is having a problem drying (that was a case last election and most of the ballots were deemed to be spoiled, yes it did happen in a strong Democratic district)

3. Voting systems are crap

Lottery systems provide high accuracy touch screen interfaces, redundant transaction logging and processing, real time auditing and balancing, and paper trails. If we can do that for the state lottery player, why can't we do that for the voter?

We can. The technology is not the issue. This implementation is designed to support election theft.
