Ashley Todd is a Republican RACE-BAITER.
And I'm not surprised at her little tactic one bit.

I'm just glad it failed so miserably.

1. Totally, It would have been more believable if
she had said the attacker was a white, hippy man or woman, or especially a teenager.

But the black male, in black clothing....that is so 1900s.

4. Blaming black people for any and everything
are standard GOP tactics, like the Willie Horton or "welfare queens" campaign ads. She's just doing as she was taught--and that's sad.

7. we're all burning in the melting pot, that is, america
why can't people see the light and realize that race is inherent and is pointless and ignorant to use as a bias? sometimes i wonder if america will ever become almost perfectly racially tolerant. but when barack obama is elected on november 4th, the next step of real progress will have been accomplished.

8. Freepers are already in spin cycle
Guess it was opposite day. Reverse psychology, Br'er Rabbit style, like the way the McCain camp spun the al-Qaeda "web endorsement."

It happens... but let's wait to see how the Democrats will use this woman for their purposes...
by John123

And now nyt, cbs, abc, etc., will stop ignoring this and broadcast it 24/7 as an example of mccain tactics.
by Schnucki

This sounded like an Obama put up job from the beginning. Another phony story about the awfulness of the McCain supporters.
by Bertram3

This really makes us look like nitwits.
by redk

Unless we learn that she is a libbie plant.
by Cecily

Whatever votes she cost him will be made up with the votes McCain gains with the thousands of people that heard the story and believe it did or COULD happen...This story and the resulting oversaturation by the media defending Obama will only serve to further paint him as the “black candidate”...
by Maverick68

If this does turn out to be fake, it will make our side look as loony as they say we are.
by Califreak

this is gonna make us l;ook really bad when the MSM gets it.
by camle

The whole story has a demonRAT stink all over it. Is this woman really a McCain volunteer? or a plant?
by 13Sisters76

Apparently, she just joined the McCain campaign last week. I’d like to know where she came from.
by WhistlingPastTheGraveyard

A SET-UP TO HURT MCCAIN??????
by icwhatudo

Where did you hear that? I’ve been suspicious of this story since it broke last night, but if it turns out to be an Obama plant all along? Wow. Game over and welcome to you, President McCain.
by mquinn

If that's her MySpace page, take note of this interesting quote at the top: "Lying is the most fun a girl can have without taking her cloths off, but its better if you do." She enjoys lying, and she doesn't sound like the type of voter who would support McCain/Palin. (Plus, her spelling and grammar skills are lacking.) ;-) She comes across more like MoveOn.org than a Republican.

10. allow me to try to spin it freeper style
ashly isn't a real mccain campaign worker

ashly actually works for obama

ashly faked the attack to make it look like obama supporters were violent, then once mccain throws his support behind him, she then confesses to making the whole thing up and embarasses mccain and sinks his campaign.

12. Or maybe she's a treble agent!
A Young Republican posing as a Obama supporter posing as a McCain supporter to discredit Obama? Naw, they aren't that clever. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. Occam's razor applies.

Seems like at least some of the Freepers are banking on more people hearing the initial story (big scary black man, white female McCain supporter, assault & mutilation) than will hear about the fraud confession. :puke:

15. And the National Committee for College Republicans - her employer, are right in the middle of this.
This was not some lonely woman acting out in the middle of the night. This was a contract employee for a national organization working to elect John McCain president. She was sent to Pennsylvania to work for the McCain campaign, and she was in contact with them while this event supposedly took place.

if it was a conspiracy higher up, imho.

Maybe so. The Republicans are mighty desperate right now, that's for sure.

19. Which is just the sort of stunt that her College Republican buddies are famous for
All College Republicans are nasty, racist, lying, assholes. That organization should be DISBANDED. They have routinely pulled crap like this. They get their funding directly from the GOP, or, from scamming elderly Republicans by soliciting via direct marketing. Folks think they are contributing to the party but if they read the fine print, the College RePIGS get the money.

I hold the GOP responsible. They need to CUT THEIR TIES TO THESE RACIST THIEVING FUCKWITS.

Edited on Fri Oct-24-08 01:53 PM by Karenina
By a bulging, buff, black buck who carved a backward B in her blooming "blood-in-the-face" cheek!

Of course the people don't want war... just tell them they are being attacked... it works the same way in ANY country...
