Freepers respond to hoax assualt...
The most current thread on our antithetical sister site is full of projection and paranoia, with a dash of wishful thinking thrown in. Number four is (to me) the worst of the lot-- indicative of the way these guys work their little minds...
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2114282/posts?q=1&;page=1

No editing done on these (other than formatting)-- just a random sampling from the link listed.

1. ACORN WORKER NO DOUBT,trying to make headlines for Obama to have a talking point.

2. This B!tch may have just sank the McCain campaign. Lock her up!!!

3. She must work for the Obama campaign

4. Holy cow...this is NOT good for us

5. Just more ammunition for the vicious left

6. find out if she ever worked for MoveOn.org when she worked for Ron Paul. Bingo, then she’s THEIR nut, not ours!

7. He’s (Drudge) the one to blame- and he’s going to drag a lot of good conservatives with him

8. I smell an Obama plant...

9. Now the RATS are going to use her to pretend that all the McCain supporters are like HER!

10. Well, I’m glad it was a hoax - but I wish it had been an 0bama supporter that had done it.

11. Could she be a Dem plant trying to hurt McCain ?

12. Check her voting record ... see if she is a Democrat who signed onto the McCain campaign just to pull this stunt off

13. Oh please! How is this any worse then the nut jobs shouting “Kill him” at ther McCain rally?

14. Again, this WILL hurt Obama. This story made the rounds of the internet and in many people’s minds, it is a very real scenari

15. Me included initially. I wanted to see confirmation, but I initially believed it. Mostly because I have no doubt that fringe Obama supporters are capable of doing this.

16. Probably she is an Obama supporter now. Remember, Ron Paul was a critic of the War in Iraq ..I think it was a set up and she’s an Obama pawn.

2. Notice how right-wing bigots rely on conjecture and supposition in lieu of FACTS?

Don't let this happen to YOU.

The only difference between a 'supposition' and a 'suppository' is one of direction.

Contrary to popular opinion, even the best and brightest among all of us couldn't have come up with something THAT brilliant.

7. I've been reading their reactions since it broke
Of course she's not a 'real' supporter of McCain.

She's either an Obama plant, or really a Ron Paul supporter etc. all there to just McCain and Republicans look bad.

And they say their reaction to the story is different then what Democrats would be because they want her life ruined whereas she would be a hero to us.

You know, typical delusional shit.

DRUDGE REPORT SUFFERS NEW SETBACK AS ASHLEY TODD'S MUGGING STORY TURNS OUT TO BE HOAX

• Once-popular news aggregator suffers black eye, has "P" [for "PWN3D"] carved in cheek
• Bigger debacle than "Clinton love child" and "Sid Blumenthal beat his wife" boondoggles
• Democratic Underground moderator Skinner offers to buy drudgereport.com domain for $1; offer being mulled by Drudge and his handlers advisors David Horowitz, John Fund, Karl Rove and the ghost of Roy Cohn

DEVELOPING HARD!!!

caller on Thom Hartmann

Republicans seem to think because they would do something that Dems would also do it. It is part of their self-justification and their ends justifies the means philosophies.

17. I'm a little surprised. I half expected them to say she was forced to recant her charges
by Pittsburgh's "inner city" police department and death threats from Obama supporters. "It was like she was raped all over again, the second time by the 'police'"

And Saddam Hussein's Weapons of Mass Destruction are in...wait for it...ALBANIA!!!

:wtf:

on edit:

oh, this one wished the Obama supporter had DONE the hoax, not a McCain supporter; however, it being a hoax was a good thing regardless. gotcha... my bad.

Oh yeah, a young Obama supporter is willing to face criminal charges for falsifying a police report in an election where Obama is already doing well.

Then again, no one said you had to have common sense to be a freeper.
