2. McGramps received full coverage this morning |

and so far Palin's speech is receiving full coverage. I'll be watching to see if Barack Obama receives the same coverage on GEM$NBC later today.

4. If I met her for the first time and didn't know who she was and had to guess her profession, |
|
I would guess - phys ed teacher.
Don't ask me why, but that would be my guess.
(I am NOT trying to demean phys ed teachers by the way)

5. Assuming McCain is defeated in November, she is the best thing that could have happened. |
|
She is the bees knees of the far right and she will help alienate the far right from the more rational Republicans. I see her as doing for the national party what Alan Keyes did to the Republican Party here in Illinois.
There was a reason why McCain was nominated. That reason was because a more radical "conservative" could not possibly win. McCain was forced to choose Palin to appease the radical "conservatives" and to give them hope for a more acceptable candidate through the back door. But she has helped drive a wedge between the radicals and the rest of the Party.
I just hope and pray that Democrats are capable of exploiting this schism over the next few years. If they do, it will be a very good thing for our country.

I don't know how so many DUers can handle her. I can only take her in mock-worthy 10 second bursts. I'm happily listening to The Stephanie Miller Show right now - the only way I can handle her. "Guys, and Gals" <shudder>

7. Oh you betcha I'm gonna vote! |
|
I heard Laura Ingram saying that no matter what happens (that is, McPalin loses), she's made a name for herself and will be seen for years on TV etc as a driving force behind the conservative movement.
I'm betting she's ends up as a footnote like Dan Quayle.

10. The SameOld SameOld...Drone On Drone On |
|
She's gonna be fun to watch this week. Her stump speech has remained virtually the same for several weeks and it's easy to tell when she's going off script...and off the reservation.
I hope the barracuda decides to go "rogue" this week...fighting not only Obama, but Gramps as well. Nothing a diva loves more than high drama.
Just think of her as I do...a one-dimensional cartoon character...she quickly become entertaining.
Travel safe...
Cheers...
