So That's Why Stevens Wanted His Trial Expedited: To Be Convicted In Time For Shrub To Pardon Him
It figures

I knew there was something going on

The public line was he wanted to be acquitted before the election so he would be re-elected

Somehow that always seemed fishy, but, hey, lots of fishy in alaska

Wonder how Shrub's visit with the new Pres of Paraguay went today?

I'd be very surprised if that guy was bribe-able

He's a liberation theology priest who gives a damn about the poor

4. It doesn't matter if Shrub pardons him. He'll lose his Senate seat
and THAT will devastate him enough. He's a very old man, and to receive a blow like this will shorten his life.

5. i figured the same thing wiley
first an appeal,which will take months, then BEFORE the new trial, he will be pardoned, and CASE CLOSED. the rotten bastard wont serve a day
