What's going to happen with Biden's Senate seat?
I don't know anything about it - was his seat up for election this year? If not what next? I could see where he could hold his seat until he is sworn in, well after the next session of Congress begins, so Delaware's Governor could then appoint a Democratic replacement who would hold the seat for 2 years.

I don't know of course, that's why I'm asking.

1. Good Question.
Obama's, too. Surely there is a plan to keep a Dem in place!

2. Yes, his seat is up for election this year....
... and like Lieberman in 2000, he's running for that seat as well as the VP. If Obama/Biden win, then whomever wins the gubernatorial election this year will appoint a replacement for two years.
